The L.A. Conference for Women Who Influence exists to help women recognize and leverage their unique spheres of influence and leadership capabilities. God has purposely designed every woman to be a leader and an influencer; our heart is to inspire women to step into the special role that God has designed just for them.

Ladies! The L.A. Conference for Women Who Influence is coming to the San Fernando Valley! This conference is a special gathering of women from all walks of life with a common desire to recognize and leverage their unique spheres of influence and leadership capabilities. God has purposely designed every woman to be a leader and an influencer. Our goal for this conference is to inspire each one of you to step into the special role that God has designed just for you. Remember. God's not only called you — He's equipped you.

Conference registration is $59 and includes access to all event program and activities, beverages and refreshments, and lunch. Additionally, there will be an exhibit area where women can relax, shop, and connect with other influencers. Registration will open at 7:00 a.m. Please arrive to register no later than 8:00 a.m. as the conference will start promptly at 8:25 a.m.

Ladies, you have the choice of selecting two breakout sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Angie Merrill, Writer & Editor

Angie Merrill is a writer, editor, and blogger living in Los Angeles, CA. She has been blessed to serve Pastor Dudley Rutherford as a writing and editing assistant for nearly 14 years. Angie has been married to her husband, Josh—a 6’9” sports pastor at Shepherd Church—for 16 years. They are blessed to parent three smart, silly, and loving children—ages 10, 7, and 5—who ask endless questions and love Jesus. She blogs at grumpyfrumpymommy.com and aims to encourage other moms to navigate the difficult years and to lead strong-willed children with joy and confidence.

Please take a look at some of the following important details to help you plan for the day.

How much does it cost to attend?

Registration costs $59.00

What does the conference price include?

The registration fee includes access to all event program and activities, continental breakfast, lunch, as well as beverages and refreshments. The first 1,300 women at door will also receive a complementary conference bag. 

Where is Shepherd Church, Porter Ranch located?

Shepherd Church is located at 19700 Rinaldi Street in beautiful Porter Ranch, California. We’re located off the 118 Freeway and accessible from both the Tampa and Porter Ranch Drive exits.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is free, ample parking on-site.

What time should I arrive?

Check in begins at 7:00 a.m., and we ask that you arrive no later than 8:00 a.m.

Where do I go once I sign in?

Please go directly to the Worship Center. There will be ample signs to direct you.

Is there child care?

Child care is not provided.

I am a nursing mother. Is there a designated location where I can pump?

You go girl! Yes, there is a nursing mother’s room available for use in the Worship Center Family Room.

How long is the conference?

The conference begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 3:35 p.m.


How many breakout sessions can I attend?

We offer a total of 14 breakout sessions, covering a wide variety of topics. Each attendee can choose and select one session to attend in the morning, and a second in the afternoon. You will make your breakout session selections as you go through the online registration process.

Are there vegetarian options?

Yes. A vegetarian lunch option is available. Pillars Café is also available on-site and is open during the conference for your convenience. Pillars Café offers specialty coffee, pastries, salads, and great food for purchase!

What other activities are provided?

Please stop by our Exhibit Area in between sessions, and take advantage of the Women Who Influence Shopping Experience.

Are scholarships available?

A limited number of scholarships are available. Please contact Kayla Francis at kfrancis@shepherdchurch.com for a scholarship application. We will only be accepting applications until September 14th.

Please call Shepherd’s Main Office at 818.831.9333. Someone will be available to take your questions during normal business hours up until Friday, September 20 at 5:00 p.m.

Please note: The Main Office will be closed the day of the conference on Saturday, September 21, so no one will be available to take your calls.
