Full-Time Roles:

Shepherd Church is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Maintenance Worker to join our Building & Grounds Team! This role plays a vital part in ensuring our facility is functional, safe, clean, and inviting for everyone who visits.

As a Maintenance Worker, you’ll be responsible to execute a variety of maintenance tasks and repairs. The ideal candidate is dependable, hard-working, and committed to supporting the mission of Shepherd Church through excellence in facility care.

Schedule Requirement: Candidates must be available to work varied shifts including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a service industry role and/or skilled trade
  • Familiarity with cleaning techniques, use of basic tools, and able to climb stairs/ladders/heights
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical labor both indoors and outdoors
  • Understanding of safety practices and basic building systems
  • Valid CDL
Position Details:
  • Non-exempt, full-time role
  • Flexible schedule required (weekdays, evenings, weekends) between 7:00AM – 9:00PM

Are you passionate about creating content that inspires and connects our church community?

Shepherd Church is looking for a creative Content Creator & Photographer to capture our story through photos and video. You’ll film services and events, edit content, manage projects, and help bring our ministry to life.

You’ll film and photograph key moments, then edit content using Adobe Creative Cloud tools like Premiere, Lightroom, and Photoshop. You’ll manage projects, schedules, and deadlines in Asana, collaborate with the Content Director to deliver high-quality content, and handle all gear, setups, and production for shoots. 

The Ideal Candidate:
• Is passionate about photography, videography, and storytelling.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Communicates clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrates a commitment to excellence and being a good steward of resources.
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Has strong project management skills.

Qualifications:
Must be available to work weekends.
• 2–5 years of experience in photography, videography, or content production.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop; After Effects optional).
• Familiarity with camera equipment, lighting, and audio for both photo and video shoots.
• Experience with content management and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
• Ability to edit and deliver polished content on deadlines.
• Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for visual content.

Schedule: Full-Time, Non Exempt
• Tue–Fri: 8:30–5:00
• Sat: 4:30–7:30
• Sun: 8:00–1:00

Part-Time Roles:
Shepherd Church is seeking a reliable and experienced Line/Prep Cook to join our Pillars Café team as a part time employee! If you love working with food, value teamwork, and enjoy serving others in a warm and welcoming environment, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace throughout your shift, including immediate cleanup and regular trash removal.
  • Prepare and stock ingredients (meats, proteins, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and ensure all items are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
  • Execute customer orders efficiently and accurately without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate with the Lead Cook at the start and end of shifts regarding prep needs, menu updates, and next-day requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
  • Strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (grill, oven, fryer, etc.)
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 40 lbs, and stand for extended periods
  • Able to work 20–29 hours weekly

Barista / Sales Associate — Pillars Café

Do you love people coffee, and creating welcoming spaces? Pillars Café is looking for a friendly and dependable Barista/Sales Associate to help create a warm, community-centered café experience for guests and church attendees.

In this role, you’ll craft quality coffee and espresso drinks, serve light refreshments, and provide genuine hospitality that makes every guest feel seen and welcomed. You’ll help keep the café running smoothly by handling transactions accurately, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and supporting the team during busy services and special events.

We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and a heart for teamwork. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and love serving others, this could be a great fit for you!

What You’ll Do:
• Work Part-Time, 15–25 Hours Per Week

Barista Lead — Pillars Café
Part-Time | 15–25 Hours per Week

Pillars Café is seeking a motivated and experienced Barista Lead to help oversee daily café operations while creating a welcoming, community-focused environment for guests and church attendees. This role combines hands-on café leadership with excellent hospitality, ensuring high-quality beverages, strong team performance, and smooth day-to-day operations.

The Barista Lead plays a key role in supporting staff, maintaining service excellence, and helping the café operate efficiently during regular hours, church services, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily café operations to ensure efficient workflow and consistent, high-quality beverage service
• Train and mentor baristas in drink preparation, customer service, and cleanliness standards
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory checks
• Foster a welcoming environment while professionally resolving customer concerns
• Coordinate team schedules and support staffing during services, events, and peak hours

Qualifications & Experience
• 1–2 years of barista experience required
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience, including training team members
• Strong knowledge of espresso drink preparation and café operations
• Experience handling cash and operating POS systems
• Experience with staff scheduling and/or inventory management preferred
• Valid Food Handler’s Certification (per state/local requirements)
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and church services or events
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving
