Beginning Your Journey

Here at Shepherd Church, it is our passion for everyone to know Jesus and have a firm foundation in their relationship with Him. No matter what your age, personality stage of life, and circumstances-we each have a place for you in God’s family. We know when it comes to your walk with Christ, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. But, there is always a next step towards Christ. Here are some important next steps you should consider.

Step 1 - Do you have questions about Jesus? Questions like, ‘Who is He’ and ‘Why does He care about me?’ Or, ‘What's the point of knowing Him?’ Maybe you want to know how to have a personal relationship with Him. These are great questions! We invite you to our 101, 201, 301 and 401 Classes where you can learn about what it means to be a Christian, how to grow stronger in Christ, serving others and sharing the message of Jesus Christ with others.  Click "Next Steps" for more details.
Step 2 - Another important step is joining a Life Group. A Life Group is a small group of 8-12 people who meet at a leader’s home to connect relationally and grow spiritually by participating in a discussion led Bible study. Life Groups are designed to help you experience the life God has for you by helping you CONNECT with other believers, by helping you GROW to be more like Christ, and helping you make an IMPACT with the gospel. These groups allow you a place to learn and grow in Christ in fellowship with other believers.  Check out http://lifegroups.org for more information.
Step 3 - Serving others is vital step in your spiritual walk. Jesus said "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." We believe there is a unique role for each person in the body of Christ. We encourage you serve in a role that fits your unique gifts, desires, and passions. Click HERE to serve.

And remember: every story is important, especially yours! We know you have a story about how God has impacted your life. Who better to tell of your journey than you?  Share it with us HERE
