Shepherd is underwriting the translation of Zume, an online discipleship course, into French. The potential for Paris, as well as the 220 million French speakers worldwide, is enormous. By the time this initiative is finished, researchers have estimated that the course will enable new disciples to be made for approximately 2 cents per course — because so many people will be viewing the sessions. To kick off this particular project, Shepherd's own Outreach Pastor, Shawn Walden, along with other Shepherd members, will be taking the course with the French translation point person herself. Team Expansion is overseeing the translation process from beginning to end. Our plan is to share this project upon completion with church planters in France, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other French speaking nation around the world in future years.
